FREIGHT & INTERNATIONAL ANALYST - Kansas City

The Freight & International Analyst will work closely with steamship companies, and international freight forwarders to insure that containers are ordered and scheduled correctly and most cost efficient.  The Analyst will work with the Motor Carrier industry to coordinate effective scheduling of loads when the Russell Stover fleet is not able to handle.  Will create all documentation in compliance with international requirements and the auditing and processing of all related billing

Key Skills:

·        Experience with handling OS&D’s (Overage, Shortage & Damages) to assure proper credits or invoices are created. 

·        Negotiating rates for new lanes with carriers.

·        Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel, suppliers and customers regarding day-to-day matters. 

·        Auditing and authorization of invoices.

·        Strong analytical skills required.

Qualifications:

·        2 years experience in International and Domestic transportation a plus.

·        Excel skills required, BAAN database experience a plus.

·        Bachelor’s degree desired
