University of Missouri Health Care is accepting applications for Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer.

 

The sonographer will perform pediatric cardiac ultrasound examinations in a variety of non-invasive settings in the region’s only stand-alone Children’s Hospital, as well as in support of the University Hospital Surgery and Trauma Service.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must posses a working knowledge of congenital heart disease imaging, ECG and stress testing, clinic operations, and neonatal and pediatric intensive care unit environments. 

 

Qualified candidates also must posses an associate degree or greater in health sciences.  A Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound Technology or greater is desirable. 

 

Candidates should have a minimum of six months to two years experience performing pediatric cardiac ultrasounds on premature infants through adolescents. 

 

Certification in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is required.  Specialized certification with ARDMS in Pediatric Echocardiography is desired and required within one year of employment.
