Description STA Travel, the world expert in travel for students and young adults, has an immediate opening for a Travel Advisor at our Ohio State kiosk!
 

STA Travel is a global travel organization, headquartered in London with the US divisional office in Dallas, TX.   STA Travel’s operations center is in Chandler, AZ and we have 18 retail stores strategically placed on or near University campus’s around the country.

Sales/Travel Advisor

The Objective:

To sell travel, and by doing so, maximize the sales and profit potential of STA Travel in a manner consistent with the customer service standards and operational procedures of the company.

Specifically:

  • To sell the complete range of travel products.

  • To meet productivity expectations and strive to improve yield and maximize conversion.

  • To provide quality customer service and seek constant improvement.

  • To acquire and develop professional product knowledge and technical proficiency.

  • To be responsible for the accurate and efficient recording of each sales transaction.

  • To handle all accountable documents and moneys in a secure fashion.

  • To act in accordance with all sales and administrative procedures as defined in the Branch Procedures Manual.

  • To participate in appraisals.

  • To be responsible for office duties as deemed necessary by the Branch Manager.

  • To play an integral part in the sales team and contribute to the overall performance of the branch. 

  • To assist the Branch Manager in the development of the business.

Requirements

  • Passion for travel
  • Comfortable in a commission sales environment
  • Thrives in a customer service environment
  • Massive enthusiasm, a desire to learn new things, a can-do attitude
  • Ideally some study abroad or travel experience
  • Self-motivated, coachable, computer savvy
  • Willing to go the extra mile for your customers
