Description
Duties:
Develop/design refrigeration systems for large industrial applications – ammonia and freon based systems - using an array of manufacturers and principles
Select and size all equipment and materials
Coordinate the purchase of all materials needed and schedule material and equipment arrival for field and factorys
Work with Field Supervisor, Shop Foreman and General Contractors to schedule installation
Interface with other design professionals in-house and out
Interface with local officials
Solve all schedule design and code issues
Oversee PSM and RMP program development with in-house professionals
Transition project to service department
Participate in pro-active team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

Requirements
PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES MUST LIVE WITHIN A 90 MILE RADIUS OF OUR HEADQUARTERS IN LYNDHURST, VA. WE WILL NOT CONSIDER YOUR APPLICATION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS QUALIFICIATION.
Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
P.E. or working toward P.E.
Previous construction experience a plus
Adept at problem solving
AutoCAD proficiency - 3D preferred
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graph, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Position requires pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and DUI screening.
Position requires overtime and four to eight weeks of traveling per year.
