Route & Capacity Planners (Part-Time)

We are currently seeking to hire a Route & Capacity Planners within our Delivery Service Center (DSC) located in Grandview, Ohio. Hours for this position are TUESDAY - SATURDAY   ALL SHIFTS (part-time).

Requirements Key Accountabilities

 

Responsible for monitoring current capacity set up in iDirect, including zone by zone (or route by route) analysis in any hub for a 10-21 day period of time (depending on the throughput of the hub)

Identifying zones and routes at risk of not reaching capacity in assigned hubs and communicating this information as well as appropriate countermeasures to the General Manager at the specific hub(s) and DSC Management team

Responsible for planning daily delivery routes for a set of hubs across the network and reviewing each route with the delivery hub with use of Cheetah Routing Software

Will communicate with site to make sure any necessary changes, additions, or removals are addressed in a timely fashion

Responsible for monitoring standard processes as they relate to Central Routing

Occasional data entry for clients who do no use EDI technology or have other contractual arrangements

Track truck performance and actual delivery volume on a route by route basis, often in Real-Time through use of Cheetah Dispatch

Assist with solving escalate issues that come from the Scheduling Department

Other occasional reporting

 

Qualifications

 

 

Operations background (Logistics and/or Transportation) – (or Computer programming/Systems background )

Meets corporate competency model requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
