Community Support Associate
Dallas, PA
Position Description:
This Community Support Associate position is responsible to assist an adult male with developmental disability in the Dallas, PA area so that he is involved in activities and events, meets new people, exercises choices, and acquires the competencies to maintain these activities and accomplish personal goals. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: documentation, community outreach and networking, providing transportation, assisting in personal care when needed, establishing effective relationships with all persons affiliated with the individual, using public transportation.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Must possess six (6) months of experience in human services field. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; understand, develop and implement learning objectives; be physically able to lift and participate in physical activities of daily living; Position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license and access to a privately maintained vehicle, and ability to pass child abuse, State Police and FBI clearances. Experience with/knowledge of working with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders is preferred.
Compensation & Status:
Full and part time positions are available. Varied schedule may include late afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Salary range from $10.00-11.00/hour. Positions available in the Dallas, PA (Luzerne County) area.
