Electrical Engineer Manager of Controls and Instrumentation

Hobbie Professional is recruiting for a global manufacturer of concrete and mining plant automated and auxiliary equipment that has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor of Controls and Instrumentation in the Lehigh Valley, PA area. 

Position will report directly to the Director of Engineering and will oversee 10-15 employees.  Will be responsible for the overall execution and development of technical standards as pertains to electrical controls and instrumentation engineering.  Looking for strong electrical controls and instrumentation design and technical documentation experience. 

The Engineering Supervisor of I&C will be responsible for directing a team of engineers in large capital projects.  Responsibilities will include: providing technical expertise in equipment design; developing/maintaining the technical standards for the electrical engineering group; ensuring that all I&C engineering deliverables meet all customer contract requirements; ensures that equipment meets operational and efficient electrical designs; design and engineering documentation for the electrical engineering group; knowledge of international safety standards and codes; and provides controls and instrumentation design expertise.  
   

Prior experience equipment design and application engineering in one of the following HEAVY equipment industries:

• Concrete and/or Mining equipment manufacturing 
• Oil/Gas equipment manufacturing 
• Steel processing equipment 
• Paper/Pulp equipment manufacturing 
• Or a similar heavy industry in equipment and machinery design and manufacturing. 

Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8yrs experience with experience working in a management level position. 

Strong customer service and leadership skills.  Experience working internationally with exposure to various cultures.  Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 10%.  Bilingual English/Spanish.

Our client is offering a compensation package of $90,000- $95,000 (this salary is NON-NEGOTIABLE)  with a performance based bonus structure.  Additional benefits include full benefits package as well as non-monetary benefits.
