Summary - AVP RAN Engineering:

Shift:40Hr- M-F 8AM-5PM / Regular
Location:AT&T - West

Responsibilities - AVP RAN Engineering:

  • Develops the long term strategy, policies and procedures and directs the designs, plans, development and implementation of RAN engineering activities for the Western region within the AT&T Wireless Network.
  • Responsible for design, planning, development and implementation of RAN engineering activities for the region. Key activities include:
    • Review and approval of network designs
    • Management of spectrum within the region
    • Achievement of network quality results
    • Development of network forecasts and capacity management plans
    • Overseeing capital budget preparation and management
    • Management of relationships with external partners and groups
    • Ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Lead the Western Region RAN Engineering team. Create a high performing team, build talent/capabilities, provide vision and direction, and review team performance against goals.
  • Provide strategic direction within region.
  • Work closely with other functional groups to create and communicate business plans and priorities, set targets and balance short term and long term needs of the market.
  • Act as Network point of contact for Regional President.
  • Lead key initiatives within the market. Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements
AVP RAN Engineering

Requirements - AVP RAN Engineering:

  • BS in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years experience in wireless network engineering/operations.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of wireless networks and standards including overall network architecture, RF design principles, wireless data, GSM and UMTS.
  • Proven leadership skills, experience leading large, regional teams to achieve superior results.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; able to work with others across many organizations.
  • MS in engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • Self starter; able to work in a fast paced environment and to work well under pressure.
