Florida Commerce Credit Union is currently seeking a Mortgage Department Manager. This position applies comprehensive knowledge of mortgage transaction principles to oversee the department with marketing, processing, sale and servicing of mortgage loans. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Mortgage Department to ensure consistent excellent member and internal service. Exercises sound judgment in applying credit union policies and procedures in granting exceptions.
Requirements
Must have the ability to use appropriate software for each of the loan support areas, as well as other office equipment; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Applicant must have secondary mortgage market, Investor Reporting process and Servicing data and systems knowledge desired. Ability to provide consistently courteous and positive member and internal service. Must posses strong analytical skills, proficiency in root cause analysis, and ability to resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to manage and work well with others, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines and work successfully in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to the position. Ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
Background knowledge and experience working with regulatory issues in the mortgage loan origination and servicing arenas is desired

A minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience in the mortgage industry or comparable business field. Experience in investor accounting and/or loan servicing management is preferred, but not required. Minimum 5 years management experience in credit, finance or related field.
