Description

Holiday Retirement, North America’s leading provider of independent living retirement communities, has a full-time position open in the Marketing Department.

 

Overall Job Purpose:

 

  • As a Traffic Manager, you will be involved with the workflow of all active projects requested by both the Home Office and from the Communities.
  • As Traffic Manager, you will assign projects to the appropriate internal and external resources, manage the projects from beginning through execution, and billing as appropriate.
  • In this role you will work with Marketing Coordinators to establish due dates and ensure that projects meet agreed upon dates.
  • In this role you will work with internal and external media team to help traffic material to publications, radio and television outlets as necessary.
  • You will be responsible for establishing process for working with the external creative production agency and will manage any necessary integration between Holiday’s internal systems and vendors systems.
  • As the Traffic Manager you will be responsible to ensure use of and compliance with internal project management software by designated individuals.
  • As Traffic Manager you will responsible for directing appropriate work to the Print-to-Web self serve model, and to predeveloped templates whenever possible.
  • You will help identify process improvement and work with your supervisor to implement.
  • In this role, you must be able to handle the many demands on your time and expertise with ease, sense of urgency, and organization that ensures all projects and tasks are completed with a high degree of quality and in a timely manner.  You need to be a natural born problem solver who will be quick to note things that can be improved, and are ready to take the lead or help out the team as needed. 
  • The Traffic Manager will oversee in-house creative production staff.
  • The right person for this job will be prepared for a fast-paced environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 5 year minimum related experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to produce quantity of work without sacrificing quality of work.
  • Excellent communicator – verbal, written & in person.
  • Strong people skills across all levels and functional areas of the organization.
  • Must be able to self-manage, taking initiative to meet project goals, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and flexible team-oriented approach to working with others.
  • Strong computer skills across Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Prior agency experience strongly preferred.

  • Work closely with marketing coordinators and marketing managers to ensure appropriate distribution of work to internal and external resources.
  • Administer work-flow process and follow up with team members to identify and correct any problems in the system.
  • Develop and maintain daily schedule of deliverables with an eye towards creating an even flow of work .
  • Review project requests for completeness.
  • Establish production schedules, communicate schedules and manage to schedules.
  • Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with internal customers, media outlets, and other stakeholders;
  • Follow through and follow up with our customers.
  • Inspire people with the Holiday message; 
  • Ability to keep all business and operations information confidential.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
