Manufacturing Technician

Description NIITEK designs and produces ground-penetrating radar for military application. We are committed to developing the premier landmine detection system for robotic, vehicle-mounted platforms. This technology also has long-term opportunity in other, non-military applications. Our R&D team is based in Sterling, VA.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Manufacturing Technician in our Charlottesville, VA location. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for providing primary support to VMMDS kit manufacturing. Additionally, this position is responsible for assembling antenna, valves, plumbing,electronic and pneumatic controls using NIITEK assembly techniques and tools.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

*Produce complete assemblies in accordance with production techniques and schedules

*Resolve documentation issues or manufacturing quality problems

*Perform product testing to documented quality control procedures prior to transfer to final systems test

*Contribute to product development activities as requested.

*Perform other, ad hoc activities as needed to support the manufacturing and plant operations.

Requirements Qualified candidates will have the following competencies and experience:

*High school degree or equivalent required

*Work experience in light assembly preferred

*College or trade school training preferred

*Customer satisfaction orientation, and commitment to high quality standards

*Electro-mechanical assembly and soldering experience required

*Flexibility and ability to multi task in a fast paced product-manufacturing environment

*Ability to perform duties as workload necessitates
