Advertising Sales Executive

Description Get in on the best sales opportunity in the Mohawk Valley. The Evening Telegram & The Evening Times newspapers, owned by Gatehouse Media, is recruiting for professional, driven, enthusiastic sales people to come grow with us!

Responsibilities include selling print newspaper and online (digital) advertising  to local businesses in a defined territory.  To be successful in this position, you will be required to solicit for new business,demonstrate solid presentation skills and close the sale. It will be top priority to make sure your customers experience great service and enjoy dealing with our company. Consistently achieving monthly goals will be expected.

We offer a competitive base salary, plus bonus and commission, mileage reimbursement and benefits. A reliable, insured vehicle is required.

Requirements 2-5 years sales experience, business development, customer service, or marketing experience preferred. Must be goal oriented, able to meet short deadlines and comfortable selling face-to-face as well as over the phone.
