Part Time Therapist
Florida MENTOR is a human services organization that serves children with serious emotional disorders or behavioral issues. We are able to provide medical, educational and therapeutic services in foster care settings. We strive to support individuals, enhance their lives and strengthen their relationships. We are currently seeking a Part Time Therapist for Marion and Citrus County areas. This position will focus on outpatient therapy of children and adults. The goal of our program is to help children in foster care with emotional and behavioral difficulties reach permanency (reunification, adoption or long term foster care). Duties include but are not limited to:

Completing initial intake and assessment; identify high-risk behaviors
- Developing initial treatment plan, emergency plan, comprehensive treatment plan, and psychosocial evaluations for individuals receiving services
Providing direct services as identified in the Individual treatment plan
- Participating in the multi-disciplinary team by assisting in the child’s case plan and working closely with the child’s case worker
Managing the records and caseloads of individuals receiving services; assisting and training foster parents and staff on how to best help the children
- Scheduling and coordinating all psychiatric evaluations/appointments and treatment plan reviews for clients
Providing emergency coverage and crisis intervention

Maintaining current and complete service records and reports on schedule and in accordance with funding guidelines
Representing the company by advocating for the individual receiving services and developing professional alliances and relationships in the community
- Attending community meetings with funding sources
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Counseling or Mental Health
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with traumatized children and families
- Knowledge of the Service System
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license
