I worked in the Restaurant business for 6 years. I was working 70+ hours a week on a salary of $1,350.00 a month. When I saw the ad for a Sales Manager Trainee position at Oak Express I thought, "I can't do that, I don't have any experience". In reality, I did have the experience. At the restaurant, my main function was interacting with people and making them happy, the main function of retail furniture sales is exactly the same. A few weeks after starting on the sales floor, I actually had a check that was more than $1,350.00 for the WEEK. Now, 10 years later, I still love what I do and enjoy going to work.

Many of our most successful Salespeople and Managers have come from the Hotel/Restaurant Industry and are now with one of the most enthusiastic, fastest growing furniture retailers in America.

How large? Over 250 locations in 31 States!

How fast? We are opening more than 7 stores in the next 6 months!

Since we promote entirely from within, we are looking for people with leadership experience, applicable education, or customer service experience who can "quickly" move into these management positions.

Hired applicants will start in Sales and (if interested in management) must be willing to relocate within one year of training at the local store.

However, highly motivated individuals have been promoted in less than 5 months.

Average 1st year income is $40,000, average Assistant Manager income $55,000, average Store Manager income over $75,000 per year.
