Personal Lines Account Manager
SUMMARY:
The Personal Lines Account Manager will provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers, producers and company personnel; Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to highest level possible; Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing personal lines accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Handle and process new and renewal personal lines business and provide in-house customer services to clients as assigned and requested
· Market new business, determine premiums, prepare and present proposals to clients and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
· Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems and comply with the request and/or refer to the producer only when necessary.
· Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
· Take applications and bind coverage on new business
· Market renewals for price and coverage
· Input customer applications into the agency management system from the carrier rating applications.
· Assemble application(s), photos, appraisals, etc. to be submitted to the insurance carriers for policy issuance.
· Check new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing and coverages. Ensure that these items are delivered and/or mailed to client. Advise writing agent if premium increase is 10% or higher.
· Monitor renewal process by verifying all policies listed on the expiration list have been renewed, rewritten, etc.
· Follow up on photos requests for homes insured or are in the process of being insured, requests for additional information, etc.
· Handle routine correspondence between carriers, agency and insured.

Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of Insurance Industry seminars and classes. Ability to obtain state Property/Casualty Insurance License.
