Safety Manager

Do you have safety and environmental management experience, familiarity with OSHA, and a demonstrated track record of improving safety performance? Our client, a leading manufacturer based in western Kentucky, is seeking a results-oriented individual for this key position.

The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:

• Develop programs intended to improve safety performance.

• Assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations

• Ensure that all employees adhere to environmental, health and safety standards.

• Form and chair a Facility Safety Committee.
• Ensure that all appropriate documentation is completed and filed

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications:

•  Scientific or Engineering Degree

• Minimum 3-5 years safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization

• Working knowledge of air emissions and EHS standards
• Familiarity with OSHA

• Strong planning skills
