Kroger is currently hiring customer friendly PHARMACY TECHNICIAN(S) for the areas listed above.
The PHARMACY TECHNICIAN is an entry-level position (based in the
pharmacy) in charge of assisting in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
The daily operation consists of, but are not limited to the following:
· Customer service
· Assisting pharmacists and patients when needed
· Assisting in various pharmacy functions such as data
entry, prescription preparation, stocking of vials, compounding
· Monitoring pharmacy conditions and following through to
maintain proper standards
Requirements
Qualifications
· Current Pharmacy Technician Registration
· Must be Customer Service Oriented
· Minimum 6 months Pharmacy Experience
Major activities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Providing excellent customer service with a "customer
first" philosophy
· Excellent oral and written communication skills and the
interpersonal skills required to interact appropriately with
customers and co-workers
· Receiving prescriptions from customers, assuring
validity
· Communicating verbally with customers and store
personnel in a positive manner
· Providing filled and checked prescriptions to customers
· Managing and monitoring customer flow
· Maintaining accurate records for pharmacy
· Restocking of prescription vials and bags
· Cash register
· Rotating product, monitoring expiration dates, removing
expired product, processing returns
· Counting, pouring and retrieving of legend drugs for
prescription filling
· Monitoring and follow up on all safety hazards
· Practices safe drug handling procedures within the
legal guidelines and regulations
· Strong computer skills required
· Ability to work flexible hours
