Director, Pharmacy Services

Responsible for clinical, administrative, financial and regulatory management of Medicare pharmacy service and Medicare Part D. Handles Pharmacy cost, utilization Medicare pharmacy phone center,  and all applicable federal reporting.

•    Responsible for Formulary design and development, implementation and Risk Management. Manages Medicare Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
•    Responsible for Pharmacy Information Systems,  and Staff supervision that will ensure consistent cost effective and quality Pharmacy program.
•    Supervises Pharmacy Benefit Manager and assists in design, development and implementation of Pharmacy Departmentfor Medicare Part D
•    Participates in Quality Management and Health Education programs to include HEDIS and Disease Management programs corporate wide for Medicare related areas.
•    Reviews all Pharmacy management reports
•    Directly responsible for member call center.
•    Responsible for compliance to all Part D regulations and rules
•    Supervises prior authorization staff
•    Medicare Part D reporting and PDE
•    Serves as an intregal part of the Medicare Services Management team
•    Compliance Commitee
•    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education:     Doctor of Pharmacy Degree

Experience:  3 years experience in pharmacy utilization management ;

                         Previous manager/director level of Pharmacy Services in Managed Care.

Licensure/Certification:  Utah Certified Registered Pharmacist
