Description
Quality Insights of Pennsylvania (QIP), the Commonwealth’s Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Medicare, is seeking experienced RNs to facilitate the adoption, acquisition and implementation of Health Information Technology (HIT) in physicians’ offices throughout the state.
The Project Coordinators will be part of a dynamic, specialized team responsible for guiding physician practices through the decision-making process for adoption of HIT (Web-based technology, e-prescribing and/or transitioning to full Electronic Health Records). Accurately assessing practices for appropriate work flow and readiness, and providing expert guidance during the implementation phase, will be critical to these positions.
The ideal candidate will have a current RN license in PA with an advanced degree in medical informatics. Three to five years working with EMR/EHR in a physician office setting may be substituted for the advanced degree. Experience with live EMR/EHR implementation in a physician practice would be a plus. These positions are based in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and King of Prussia, PA. Considerable in-state travel is required. Successful candidates will receive extensive training.
Quality Insights of Pennsylvania offers competitive salaries, excellent working conditions and an outstanding benefits package. Interested applicants may e-mail their resume with cover letter to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or fax them to 304-347-8825 before November 25, 2009. For additional information about QIP, visit our Web site at http://www.qipa.org/. AA, EOE
