Summit is an innovative, quality focused supplier committed to the Toyota Production System (TPS) at all levels of the organization. Every facility has a Summit Lean Manufacturing System (SLMS) Engineer, who reports directly to the General Manager. SLMS is not a separate function but is integrated into all aspects of the organization from the up-front product development cycle as Knowledge Based Product Development, to the overriding philosophical model for every department, at every plant. Almost all employees receive SLMS training and understand that this is an organization dedicated to the implementation and improvement of lean processes.
Summit currently has an opportunity in Vicksburg, MI for a Finish/Assembly Supervisor. Candidates must be able to coordinate work flow, oversee company and customer quality requirements, and adjust and troubleshoot assembly fixtures and/or robotic paint equipment. Ability to insure that Summit's training, safety, quality and personnel standards are met. This position offers room for advancement, compensation based on experience and performance, a good benefits package, overtime, training, and excellent working conditions. Successful candidate will have manufacturing supervisory experience and be able to lead by example.
