Investment Analytics Group – Entry to Mid Level – Position Description

The Analytics Group seeks an individual to assist the Capital Markets Group with portfolio risk analytics and analysis of fund investment guidelines and risk compliance requirements for comprehensive monitoring. The team member will be exposed to the range of deal structures, including the formation and launch of structured alternative investment funds and the related economics, fund cashflow projections and analysis, and the workings of capital markets and asset trading.

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Assist team to provide portfolio managers with weekly reports of all CLO funds
• Benchmark and risk analysis for an array of unlevered funds
• Weekly cashflow and IRR projections for distribution internally as well as institutional investors
• Ad-hoc analysis for the portfolio managers including creating portfolios as per current market conditions and trading scenarios

Job Specifications and Requirements:

Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution required, with a Business/Finance degree preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of investment industry and/or performance measurement experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. Candidate must be proactive and able to work in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with quick turn-around time. An understanding of investment analytics methodologies, securities analysis for various investment techniques, capital market theory, as well as the dynamics of various investment strategies is preferred. Knowledge of CDOs and CLOs, VaR, and currency overlap a plus. Must be proficient in Excel. Familiarity with Bloomberg, CDO Suite, Geneva, Credit Delta, IMAKE, Intex a plus, but not required.
