Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years experience as estimator on public works projects
- Degree in construction management and knowledge of BidTek a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review trade publications and determine projects to bid
- Prepare estimate for general conditions on projects
- Do complete take-offs or lumber and concrete, preparing detailed take-off list and consolidated order list.
Manage estimating department including staffing and supervision of:
- DVBE Requirements
- Advertising
- Phone Solicitations
- Preparation of bid documents
- Issuing and signing of contracts and purchase orders
- Distribution and tracking of plans and specifications
- Posting of addenda’s to as-built drawings
