Description Senior Financial Analyst
People to People Ambassador Programs

Purpose: The Senior Financial Analyst reports directly to the CFO and works regularly with all operational department heads and the executive team. The Senior Analyst manages the financial budgeting and forecasting processes for the organization.  Additionally, this position oversees the preparation of monthly financial analysis and comparative reporting presented to the operational department managers and the executive team.  This position is also responsible for maintaining and integrating all financial systems from a functional perspective.

 Description of Essential Tasks:
  • Assist CFO in the evaluation and planning of entity-wide strategic growth initiatives.

    Develop and promote new business initiatives.

  • Review, document, manage, and comply with internal controls as specified in Sarbanes Oxley compliance documentation.

  • Drive the organization’s business planning cycle, including modeling available financial resources and organizing the budgeting process. Interface with all departments and business line management.

  • Provide monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis of actual results compared to budget and forecast for all program lines and departments to the executive team and the Board of Directors.

  • Work closely with the Controller to ensure that actual trends in results are accurately reflected in the financial forecast.

  • Heavily involved in all aspects of pricing itineraries across all program lines.

  • Oversee foreign exchange (FEX) hedging and payment process necessary in the costing of programs overseas in future periods. Identify, document, and hedge foreign exchange exposure for all product lines.

  • Monitor foreign currency market, capturing risk within budgeted, priced rates.

  • Develop, maintain, and re-assess foreign exchange trading relationship.

    Review SEC documentation compliance under FASB and GAAP guidance.

  • Compile, review, and submit all SEC financial filings, including 10Q’s, 10K, Proxy and applicable 8-K’s. Coordinate report support with external audit firm.

  • Oversee cash management and investment process, ensuring all investment partners are in compliance with the organization’s investment policy.

  • Ensure that the financial analysts partner effectively with the business units that they support in managing the financial aspect of their operations.

  • Manage the professional growth and development of all associates that directly report to this position.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis to the CFO and the Executive team as needed.

Education:
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Accounting (CPA and or MBA preferred)
5-10 years of relevant experience required.
Must have demonstrated previous ability to effectively lead and manage associates.
