Description
The bread and cake division of IBC is seeking a Route Builder for its Ebensburg, PA depot. This is an entry-level management position. The Route Builder's primary purpose is to run routes and promote sales of IBC products in the absence of regular route sales persons by following established delivery, merchandising, and ordering procedures, and providing superior customer service to any accounts that sell IBC products to consumers. When not running routes, responsible for promoting sales by riding with sales reps for training purposes and improving product merchandising. It should be noted that the days of work for this position are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday is a normal work day. This position will occasionally involve working on Sunday's and Holidays. When on a route the starting times will be between the hours of 3:00-5:00 AM and involve 10 hour work days.
PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Provides route relief and runs routes and services established accounts with IBC products in the absence of regular assigned route sales representative
§ When not running routes solo, provides training and direction, and additional merchandising assistance while riding with regular route sales representative
§ Builds sales for IBC products by following established Company merchandising procedures
§ Controls stale and product destroyed through proper ordering and handling of IBC products
§ Maintains good relationships with account personnel including receivers, bakery and store managers
§ Promotes sales through special displays, developing account relationships, use of promotional material
§ Solicits new accounts
§ Safely drives and operates a route truck
§ Practices safe work procedures while performing all duties associated with the position
§ Uses a hand held computer to facilitate proper ordering and distribution of products
§ Supports Company initiatives and objectives for sales, performance standards, and personal behavior

Requirements
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Must be 21 years of age or older to operate Company vehicle
* Clean driving record
* Ability to drive a manual transmission and pass a D.O.T. medical physical.
* Professional demeanor
* Must be able to multi-task and work in fast paced environment and work with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in DSD Route Sales. Experience in distributing perishable items preferred.
