We are seeking an experienced Systems Support Specialist to join our progressive credit union. In this role, the person will support for our Symitar system /operations and provide end-user helpdesk support. This position reports to the Manager of Technology Solutions at our Lathrup Village location.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee system processing by reviewing job runs using Job File Scheduler.
- Set up new products and services on Symitar.
- Perform Symitar operations including but not limited to ACH and check postings, processing daily jobs, and scheduling nightly processing.
- Monitor and manage Money Works Audio and Money Works Home banking servers.
- Perform Symitar system-level and software upgrades.
- On call during regular business hours and after hours duties as necessary.
- Being an advocate of Michigan First culture.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or technical certificate plus one to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Certificate in personal computer application and training is required.
- Ability to understand needs of various departments and translate requests for computer applications into usable data, using the appropriate software application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; ability to interact at all levels within our organization, in a team based environment and with the general public.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team members and leaders of the organization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently as well as the ability to prioritize various tasks and deadlines.
- Must be able to apply problem solving recommendations that produce satisfactory results, focus on effectiveness, be organized, flexible, and self –directed and have a sense of urgency.
