Description Consider joining Lancaster Laboratories where people are the most important element in our chemistry.  Celebrating more than 45 years of service, Lancaster Laboratories is a leading contract lab providing testing and research services in the environmental, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sciences to clients worldwide. Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Senior Business Development Specialist to support the Pharmaceutical Division by prospecting in the Southwest region of the United States.

Senior Business Development Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
:
  • Develop new business revenue for the Pharmaceutical Division by prospecting in the pharmaceutical research and development markets as well as in the pharmaceutical manufacturing markets
  • Identify and secure sales opportunities through phone calls, sales visits, and presentations
  • Work closely with internal Pharmaceutical Business Development to qualify and secure leads (some account management possible)
  • Generate new business opportunities consistent with our operational capabilities and capacity
The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, business, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • At least three years sales experience or analytical laboratory experience.  Previous contract lab experience preferred.
  • Travel required; territory will be the Southwest geographic territory to include Southern California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico
  • Must reside in Southern California
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship  

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates residing in Southern California are encouraged to apply.
