Description
The Security Guards are responsible for the physical and electronic security of the entire corporate office. Other duties include: greeting visitors at the main entrance, arranging messenger deliveries, receiving packages and/or deliveries, maintaining delivery/visitor logs, operating the alarm systems, operating x-ray machines and metal detectors, and observing closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitors.
Must be available to work afternoons daily, from 2:00-6:00 or later, and some hours on weekends when necessary. Applicants with flexibility of availability will be given preference.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required,
Facility security, law enforcement and/or military experience preferred,
Experience with CCTV, metal detectors, alarm systems and/or surveillance equipment preferred,
Training in industrial security, security awareness, and/or self-defense helpful,
Basic familiarity with computers preferred,
Strong communication and organizational skills required,
Ability to be detail-oriented required,
Knowledge of general security principles required,
Ability to make instant decisions and gain control of a hostile situation required.
