Description
The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the provision of pharmaceutical and durable medical equipment services to our clients. This position interfaces with home agencies to insure continuity of care for clients regarding their infusion therapies. The Director will oversee the entire department, including operations, cost management, formulary development and enhancement, training and education, technology and overall management and direction. As a leading home infusion company, our pharmacy has a state-of-the-art clean room and is USP 797 compliant. We provide a unique opportunity for you to utilize your pharmacy skill set and offer a competitive benefit and salary package.
Home Parenteral Services (HPS) staff members are highly trained home infusion professionals who strive to provide the optimum level of service, skill and commitment. The staff includes pharmacists and registered nurses who are specialists in oncology, parenteral and enteral therapy. Each nurse is chemotherapy certified and many are CRNI certified.
Home infusion is a high-tech home care that allows patients to receive hospital level care at home. A home infusion provider has often been described as a "hospital without walls." Home infusion medications are delivered using small computerized pumps that are unique to the home care environment. At Home Parenteral Services, timing is very important. We have clinical staff available to the patient and physicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Patients receiving home infusion enjoy the satisfaction of returning to their own surroundings and the care of their families. These emotional benefits play a role in healing and improve the quality of life.
As well as providing infusion therapy to patients in the home, Home Parenteral Services Vascular Access Team places vascular access devices or PICC (peripheral inserted central catheters) lines in patients while at the hospital. This expert team enhances clinical outcomes and increases patient satisfaction through the use of peripheral IV's and PICC lines.
Home Parenteral Services covers a wide area in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma.
