Structural Engineer, California
Founded in 1960 and recognized as the nation’s leader in the design and construction of health care facilities, HBE is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for a major construction project based in the Los Angeles, California area.
Responsibilities:
Perform complete structural engineering design for mid-rise steel and concrete structure in high seismic region.
Supervision of conformity with pertinent building codes, safety code ordinances and related regulations.
Involved in all phases of project, including review of conceptual design through contract documents, review of shop drawings and construction administration.
Interface with owner’s representatives.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years structural engineering experience on major commercial projects in seismic region.
- BSCE and California SE license required. MSCE a plus.
- Proficient use of computer applications including RAMSTEEL and ETABS required. Knowledge of RISA, finite element analysis programs and AutoCad preferred.
- Previous OSHPD experience required.
