We are seeking a Manager of Collections/Loss Mitigation for a direct-hire position in Melbourne, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • To direct all department activities
  • To ensure consistent and appropriate action is taken to minimize losses related to delinquent loan portfolio and the assets held in the portfolio
  • To act as a representative to provide exceptional quality service for members.
  • Coordinates the implementation of policies and procedures to support the management of the workout and asset management efforts in line with the objectives of the Collections department of the credit union.
  • Manages the modification process on all portfolio and investor mortgage loans.
  • Oversees the liquidation of all repossessions and foreclosures to maximize the return received on property sold with a minimum investment of cost and time.
  • Oversee process for repossessing, foreclosing and taking possession of collateral security involved in delinquent loans.

  • Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before recommending for charge-off.
  • Strategic planning and organizing
  • Budgeting
  • Prepares annual budget projections for the department, operates within its guidelines and monitors departmental performance in order to operate within financial objectives.
Requirements Prior Experience:
  • Requires 3 to 5 years collections experience including at least 2 years management experience.  

Education and Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
