Description

Duties:

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Develop/design electrical control and power systems
  • Program and trouble shoot PLC logic and electrical control
  • Lead design projects from theory to implementation
  • Commissioning Projects (start-ups)
  • Networking/Communication with automation hardware/software
  • Participate in pro-active team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/ skills

Requirements

 

  • PLEASE NOTE:  CANDIDATES MUST LIVE WITHIN A 100 MILE RADIUS OF OUR HEADQUARTERS IN LYNDHURST, VA.  WE WILL NOT CONSIDER YOUR APPLICATION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS QUALIFICIATION.
  • Prefer a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Software development capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of ladder logic/logic programming preferred
  • Experience with Allen Bradley/Automation Direct PLC’s preferred
  • Adept at problem solving
  • AutoCAD and Wonderware proficiency preferred
  • Competent with National Electrical Code
  • Knowledge of three-phase motors and power system component selection
  • Industrial/construction background preferred
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graph, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. 
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Demonstrate use of intermediate computer operations (basic programming in 3rd and 4th generation language, relational databases, and operating systems)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
