Position Responsibilities:

  • ·      Manage all Human Resource related functions for the assigned division(s) which includes organizational development and strategy, recruiting, orientation, compensation, training and development, performance management, benefit management, risk management, employee relations, data and reporting, policy and procedure, and special projects as needed.
  • ·      Manage the recruiting efforts for assigned division(s) which includes budgeting, staffing analytics, recruiting, on-boarding, and strategic deployment of resources.
  • ·      Coordinate orientation and on-boarding of new employees.  Develop process and create and revise forms as necessary.
  • ·      Strategically manage compensation and organization structure for assigned division(s) by researching job responsibilities, developing a proper organizational structure, creating organizational charts, researching compensation models, and building career paths for each individual job type.  Ensure that all compensation is in line within each department, the company as a whole, and the industry.
  • ·          Participates in the development of the company as a strategic partner in evaluating and advising on the impact of long-range planning and regulatory action.
  • ·      Work closely to partner with management and facilitate organizational development activities through out all divisions.
  • ·          Assist with Human Resources activities such as employment, compensation, EEO, affirmative action and training initiatives.
  • ·      Research, negotiate, design and administer benefit plans which maximize benefits coverage for employees in a cost-effective manner for the company.  Continually manage benefit vendors to ensure best services at the best price.
  • ·      Assist with coordination of employee events such as seminars, company meetings, outside events and other activities that promote interaction and cohesiveness amongst employees.
  • ·      Work with supervisor on employee relations issues/concerns to ensure quick and equitable resolution of employee and/or management problems. 
  • ·      Assist with EEO/ADA/AA and other legal requirement issues; administer affirmative action plan and ensure that staffing, hiring and promotional policies are in compliance with local, state and federal legislation.
  • ·      Coordinate management and employee training programs to ensure maximum productivity and effective leadership for the organization.
  • ·      Coordinate corporate safety and security programs working with the Facility Coordinator. 
  • ·      Administer a wage and salary program, including conducting surveys and designing salary ranges, designing incentive programs and interacting with staff and other management to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • ·      Assist in assessing employee morale and advising management on issues which may impact morale.
  • ·      Assess and attempt to resolve issues associated with turnover and absenteeism
  • ·      Conduct outplacement counseling for employees and counseling for managers to ensure that terminations are effected in an equitable manner which maintains employees’ dignity and self-respect.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: 

    ·      Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field. 

    ·      At least 5 years of progressive experience in all aspects of human resources preferred.

    ·      Experience in television broadcasting industry a plus.

    ·      In-depth knowledge of benefits programs along with laws pertaining to employment.

    ·      A combination of the above educational and work experience qualifications would be considered.

    ·          Must possess ability to handle multiple tasks and meeting deadlines along with top-notch communication skills.

    ·          Travel will be required.
