We are seeking strong professionals with leadership expertise in lending, investments, other banking products and services to lead our new retail location at the Meijer store in Rochester Hills, Michigan.  Ideals candidates should have a proven track record of managing, directing, and administering the operations and business development efforts for a bank or credit union that offers a range of services to current and potential members. In-store retail banking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates deposit, lending and member services functions in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Vice President of Branch Operations.
• Makes recommendation for new, improved or expanded products and services based on feedback from store customers.
• Manages Assistant Manger and FSR team, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all branch team members.
• Works directly with store customers to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services.
• Develops plans and schedules for the efficient use of materials, machines, technological equipment and employees resulting in outstanding service-delivery.
• Assesses processes related to depositing, lending, transaction accounts as well as product quality, and makes recommendations for process improvements.
• Reviews operations of other in store banking operations and plans and directs sales programs to address emerging needs and potential members.
• Directs preparation of appropriate branch accounting records. Recommends budgets to management relative to the physical, human resource, and other costs of the branch operation.
• Evaluates work of team members’, conducts performance appraisals, recommends promotions, reassignments, recommendations for hiring of new team members, and related personnel functions.  Provides training and assistance to team members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of member services.
• Builds a cohesive team with an assertive and friendly sales orientation that drives goal achievement and member satisfaction.  
• Through regular coaching sessions, builds the skill level of each member of the team in delivering the highest level of sales and service, while achieving individual and team goals.
• Ensures that the branch image is favorable, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employs prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members, including privacy, confidentiality, and ease of use.
• Facilitates in the development of the branch promotional calendar.
• Responsible for developing joint promotional opportunities with the retailer.
• Conducts promotions using various delivery channels in the store (In aisles, teams, etc) employing various systems (phone, email, coupons, etc.), as well as in the community and all branches.
• Being an advocate of Michigan First culture.

• Minimum of 3-5 year’s leadership experience with a bank or credit union.
• Must have a Bachelors degree or above in business or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of the lending processes and experience with financial institution products and service.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend and early evenings. (Please note – Team members are only expected to work two Saturdays per month, and no Sundays. When scheduled to work on Saturdays, in addition to having Sunday off team members will normally receive another day off during the weekday.)
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing and training.
• Must have experience evaluating and making sound decisions on sales, service and other skill levels of team members.
• Must be an exceptional conversationalist, demonstrating the ability to engage strangers in conversation about our services.
• A track record of successfully coaching Team Members in sales skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to use multiple delivery platforms.
• A record of creative and innovative problem identification and resolution.
• Must adhere to the member service standards as set forth by the credit union.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task and be flexible.
• Experience in a financial institution required.
