 Description for Registered Nurse - RN:

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to supervise the care given to a group of residents in a nursing unit.  The RN also assesses resident needs, develops individual care plans, administers nursing care, and evaluates nursing care. All shifts are avaiable for RN's.  Longterm care experience preferred

Duties of this position include following, in accordance with established policies and nursing standards:

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver quality, outcome-focused care

• Participate in developing, implementing, evaluating, and revising the Plan of Care for each resident

• Establish and maintain positive interactions with residents, families and other staff and serve as the primary point of contact for family members

• Keep other healthcare professionals informed of residents' conditions

• Ensure proper documentation to meet all reporting requirements

• Promptly respond to call lights and other resident needs

• Demonstrate strong ethical and safety practices

• Maintain knowledge in pharmacology, lab values, and infection control

• Participate in peer support / evaluation, in services, education programs, and staff meetings, and Quality Improvement activities as assigned

Job Requirements for Registered Nurse - RN:

Candidates for the RN position should meet the following requirements:

• Hold and maintain a current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Recent experience or education specific to geriatrics
• Self-reliant and self-aware
• Ability to combine common sense with clinical skills to ensure optimal patient care
• Demonstrate understanding of relevant government regulations
• Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development
• Working knowledge of infection control principles and practices
• Ability to communicate effectively and positively in all interactions
• Capable of maintaining regular attendance
• Meeting all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam, drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry if required
