Payroll Coordinator
We seek an individual with payroll experience to support our hospital clients in administering payroll and benefits for physicians and midlevel practitioners. To be a successful EmCare Payroll Benefits Coordinator, you must be highly organized and have knowledge of payroll and benefits processes and regulations.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Works closely with Regional HR Benefits Coordinator to ensure the highest level of customer service is proactively given to physicians and newly identified candidates. Act as a payroll liaison between Physicians and EmCare. Provide support to the region by researching and following up on any inquiries regarding payroll and employment agreements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Heavy interaction with Physicians to include: tracking employment contracts, benefit packages and employment documentation (W-4, I-9, EDP, 401(k), Flexible Spending Accounts, etc.)
- Manages payroll process to include gathering the required information, performing the calculations, data entry into the payroll system and approval routing to Regional Manager.
- Tracks and follows-up with employee payroll documentation.
- Assumes responsibility for payroll records and back up documentation.
- Monitors and assures compliance between corporate policy and current IRS regulations.
- Assumes an active role during acquisitions, conversions or new business by presenting orientation of payroll information to clinical employees.
- Works with Regional Finance Manager to insure proper financial statement presentation of Payroll information.
- Assists HR Benefits Coordinator with special reports and various projects as needed.
- Assumes an active role during acquisitions, conversions or new business by presenting orientation of payroll and benefit information to clinical employees.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Skills:
- College degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to focus on details, ensure appropriate follow-up occurs.
- Ability to prioritize work utilizing appropriate sense of urgency.
Experience:
- Previous payroll experience required.
- One to three years customer service / administrative experience.
- Versatile computer skills a must, including knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Oracle HRMS experience a plus.
- Candidate must have ability to work in rapidly changing healthcare environment.
