Quality Assurance Manager

 

With an aerospace manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a permanent, full time position, offering full benefits, and we are looking to hire immediately.

 

DETAILS:

  • Reporting to the Director of Quality
  • Has direct responsibility for oversight and management of the standards related to quality assurance along with the quality monitoring processes and procedures for the repair station
  • Directly responsible for development and implementation of QA initiatives and programs along with the day-to-day supervision of employees within this department
  • Key to this role is the possession of direct working knowledge and experience with regulatory standards and practices
  • The Quality Assurance Manager has overall management responsibility for the following positions: Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Assurance Auditors, Quality Assurance Records Lead, Records Auditors & Clerks
  • Provide guidance and supervision to personnel assigned to the quality assurance department, including the internal and external auditing functions of the repair station
  • Ensure the accuracy of records and reports required quality standards
  • Perform all functions of a quality assurance auditor
  • Act on behalf of the technical librarian in his/her absence
  • Act on behalf of the records administrator in his/her absence
  • Review the Key Personnel Roster and notify the director of quality of any changes
  • Review the Inspection and Supervisory Roster and notify the director of quality of any changes
  • Retain the completed Capability List Self Evaluation Forms
  • Audit or direct audits of completed customer records
  • Administer the auditing and analysis and surveillance programs
  • Establish the standards and procedures to initially qualify vendors
  • Analyze customer, FAA, and auditing agency feedback data/reports to evaluate the quality of products of the repair station
  • Ensure all deficiencies found internally and externally are corrected through the Internal Audit Process
  • Represent the repair station during audits by outside agencies
Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have experience / knowledge of: FAA Regulatory System, FAR 145, Comprehensive Quality Management Systems, Formal Root Cause Analysis, Auditing Analysis and Auditing Systems, CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) and ISO, international quality agencies (i.e. BDCA - Bermuda Dept. of Civil Aviation, CAAC - Civil Aviation Admin. of China,  EASA - European Aviation Safety Agency, etc.)
  • 6+ years working experience in aircraft maintenance
  • 6+ years working in Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • 4+ years working directly with FAA liaison activities
  • Certifications in Quality Assurance/Quality Control preferred
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred, Graduate degree a plus
