District Sales Manager (Outside Sales)

 

Our client is the recognized leader in the manufacture and distribution of the finest quality steel storage solutions.  Founded in 1901, this company has a rich history and has grown to become the preferred supplier of quality industrial storage and workspace products with the highest customer satisfaction ratings and loyalty in the industry.  We are currently seeking a talented, high energy, independent and highly motivated District Manager to run a territory in this companies North East region. If you are interested in joining a stable industry leader with room for growth then we want to speak with you.

 

Your Opportunity

 

  • Utilizing consultative sales methods to sell our clients products in-person to dealers, distributors, and direct customers in a defined territory
  • Creating unique product combinations and solutions to meet each client’s individual needs
  • Develop and grow relationships with distributors and dealers: Prospect, qualify, solidify relationships, overcome objections and close new accounts
  • Renewing accounts
  • Scheduling and running presentations to demonstrate products
  • Generating revenue, and exceeding attainable monthly
  • Developing loyal and long-lasting client relationships through personal attention and follow-up
  • Complete administrative duties, including Sales Call Reports, as required
  • Maintain home office

 

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2-5 years outside sales experience
  • Track record of having achieved sales plan
  • Experience developing a territory and working named account lists.
  • Documented proof of over performance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%.
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player.
  • All applicants will be subject to a background and credit check.
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Home office experience
  • Industrial sales experience a plus
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Computer skills
  • High energy/passion
  • Good listener skills
  • Good people skills
  • Cold calling proficiency
  • Detail oriented
