Job Description of Social Media Coordinator

 

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced communicator, with a passion for writing, blogging, and social media. The successful candidate will have public relations and media experience, the ability to jump between creative and analytical skills, solid verbal and written communication expertise, and a marketing perspective. If you think strategically and are skilled at 21st century media technology, this might be the position for you. Candidate will manage all Social Media for the Roni Deutch branding.    

 

Duties and Responsibilities of Social Media Coordinator

 

  • Launch and manage social media presence on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Avvo, YouTube, Flickr and other relevant Web 2.0 sites.
  • Work with departments to ensure proper messaging is being delivered online and is relevant to organizational goals.
  • Support and protect brand by ensuring positive messaging is maintained in community.
  • Establish consistency of message across multiple networks.
  • Manage online discussions by listening to users, reading between the lines, and responding in a timely manner to user’s needs and requests.
  • Monitor and track discussion topics.
  • Prepare reports to update internal staff on usage statistics.
  • Explore all advancements and opportunities as they come about in the Social Media and Social Marketing fields.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years professional experience with a college degree in Journalism or Liberal Arts preferred.  Combination experience and education will be considered.
  • Must have exceptional traditional writing and grammatical skills and a flair for using "social network speak" and online jargon.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly.
  • Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills.
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas.
  • Online search expert able to track and monitor postings relevant to the brand.

 

Compensation starts at $12-15,commensurate with experience.
