Duties & Responsibilities:
**The following responsibilities are included to but not limited to:**
· Direct supervision of Press and Rewind departments including scheduling, monitoring time worked, completing timely and thorough evaluations, answering questions, etc
· Communicate and ensure implementation of Quality Procedures and Quality Work Instructions to Press Operators and Rewinders
· Contribute and support Lean/Continuous Improvement efforts, especially waste reduction and throughput, via individual observations and suggestions, and also through team efforts
· Communicate with all departments to improve processes and ensure on-time delivery
· Keep track of department Non-conformances and provide updates to appropriate personnel
· Participate in the yearly budgeting and financial goal setting process.
· Manage to the budget and deliver a consistent and predictable level of profit.
· Make adjustments in our cost structures to move consistently with the level of sales coming in.
· Provide our employees with consistent and fair feedback on a regular basis.
· Create a learning environment that will help all employees to build on their existing skills.
· Adjust schedule to also be available to 2nd and 3rd shift production personnel. Includes receiving calls when at home and, when not available, arranging for a different point of contact for questions
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Previous management experience (at least 1 year) required
· Proven leadership skills
· Complete understanding of production equipment and its capabilities
· Understanding of complete process flow through all departments
· Able to work independently and in teams
· Organized, detail-oriented, and able to accurately complete high volumes of work
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Outstanding problem solving skills
· Excellent attendance and performance record
