FP International, a world-wide leading manufacturer of protective packaging machinery and consumable products has an opening for a Quality Engineer in its Hopkinsville, Kentucky, manufacturing facility. Reporting to the head of the Quality Management organization, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of product quality assurance programs and process improvement efforts using established tools and methods and applying extensive knowledge and experience to integrate best industry practices into FP International.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of quality specifications and test methodology.
Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure that transfers of new products are in accordance with approved data and validation protocols.
Conduct root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related concerns, supplier performance, and customer complaints.
Assist with maintaining and improving the Quality System Maintenance including ISO 9001:2008.
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
Develop and deliver training to build quality awareness.
Support Lab Technicians to ensure that products and processes comply with relevant Quality System requirements.
Conduct audits, including reporting, close-out activities, and recommending proper corrective and preventive actions.
Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc. Preparation of QA reports.
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions and continuously improving QA receiving inspection processes and procedures.

Education:
Bachelor's degree engineering
Required Experience:
Manufacturing environment experience a must.
Minimum of 2 years of successful engineering experience in a Quality Assurance capacity.
Experience with ISO 9001:2008.
product quality assurance planning laboratory test methodology supplier quality management strategic process project management techniques (e.g., six-sigma and Lean bodies of knowledge) statistical and qualitative analysis of test or field failure data failure reporting and corrective action failure investigation / analysis production process improvement working knowledge of ISTA testing a plus
