The VP will report directly to the CEO.  As a key member of the executive management team, the new VP of Finance and Accounting will provide financial leadership for the Company and have responsibility for the design and execution of financial operations including accounting, financial planning and reporting, long-range goals, business and operational strategies and objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and report business/financial trends, risks/opportunities and navigate each situation to achieve growth in revenue/profitability.
  • Prepare all necessary financial reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management, investors and board of directors.
  • Assist Management with the development or performance metrics and analysis. 
  • Pricing, margin and growth analysis.
  • Prepare annual corporate budget and provide department heads with a monthly variance analysis between budget and actual results. 
  • Build models to analyze current and new product development and other facets of corporate strategy.
  • Structure and lead quantitative analysis and financial modeling of growth opportunities, including acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Provide management oversight of accounting employees including process improvement, staff development, personnel decisions and the maintenance of appropriate internal control safeguards.
  • Manage existing financial, banking and vendor relationships.

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • CPA, MBA Finance a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Finance.
  • Experience with shareholders, shareholder interest and stock share management and agreements.

  • Ability to formulate independent opinions, question the status quo and, in a professional manner, challenge opinions held by others.
  • Strong communication skills – The VP will possess exceptional writing and verbal presentation skills enabling him/her to prepare and present information and recommendations to a broad and diverse audience, including peers on the management team, staff and outside lenders and investors.
  • Strategic – The VP will be experienced at setting direction and translating broad strategies into clear business objectives and actions.
