We currently have openings for part-time Nurse Practitioners / Physician Assistants at the Cumberland County Jail in Bridgeton, NJ. 

These positions will provide you with the opportunity to apply your skills on a diversity of cases and provide all levels of healthcare. Will work under the supervision of a physician as set forth in the state board of medicine guidelines, while providing medical care and treatment to the inmate population of patients in defined areas to assess illness, treatment education, prevention and wellness concepts. In addition, this position will work with many different individuals including patients, physicians, security guards, and other correctional employees.

Correctional medicine is comprised primarily of internal medicine patients with a public service/community health service flavor. Care competencies include: asthma, hypertension, seizures, diabetes and infectious disease: including TB and HIV. Enjoy easy follow up and continuity of care with 24/7 nursing coverage.

• Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
