Description Avante at Boca Raton, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility is seeking a Florida licensed Assistant Director of Nursing to supervise the day-today nursing activities of the facility in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing. Directly supervise Nurses.

Position Summary:
Plans and provides managerial and/or clinical support to patients and staff within the Nursing department. Supervises employees and participates in selection, orientation, counseling, evaluation and staff scheduling. Provides and/or facilitates patient centered nursing care for a defined patient population and serves as resource to other employees. Demonstrates effective communication skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution in the management of the assigned department, keeping the appropriate people informed. Serves as a resource person to patients, families, physicians and staff in interpreting department/hospital/system policy, facilitating medical and nursing care, and utilizing appropriate resources.
Requirements • Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements

• Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner

• Must speak and understand English

• Must be able to supervise and instruct others

• Previous supervisory experience or completion of appropriate training program, or as required by state law

• Positive attitude toward the elderly
