Description
POSITION PURPOSE
The position is responsible for the accounting services of assigned client and preparation of company payroll. Ideal candidate will preferably have a degree or past experience in accounting services and be proficient in Excel, Word, QuickBooks, Peachtree and or other accounting software. Must be multi-task, detail oriented and have great organizational and people skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Works closely with assigned clients to assess requirements and expectations. Specific duties could include:
· General ledger data input
· Check writing including payroll checks
· Bank reconciliations
· Depreciation accounting
2. Prepares reports, returns, and other documents as required.
· Sales tax reports
· Payroll tax reports
· Year-end tax forms including W-2’s and Form 1099
· Monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements
· Other reports as required by client
3. Provides back up support as needed to other accounting services personnel and their clients.
4. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with assigned clients.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred with accounting or business emphasis, but not required
Experienced with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
3+ years of general accounting experience; public
accounting experience a plus
