Description Work with Lead Engineer/Group Manager for following items which are related to plant layouts (including those related to plant security) and fire protection for Mitsubishi US Advanced Pressurized Water Reactor (US-APWR):
  • Development of specifications.
  • Development of design/assessment documents and licensing documents including licensing application.
  • Site-specific engineering design/assessment for US-APWR.
  • Technical review of design documents and licensing documents, including those developed by contractors.
  • Technical responses to questions posed by the NRC for the US-APWR, DCD and COLA.
  •  Preparation of presentation materials and providing presentations to regulations, nuclear related organizations (such as NEI, EPRI, INPO, ANS and ASME) or customers.
  • Technical support for sales promotion activities in the US for MHI’s nuclear business, including response to questions from potential customers and in assisting with business presentations.
  • Attending regulatory and industry meetings, including those organized by NEI, EPRI, INPO, ANS and ASME.
  • Interfaces within Engineering Section and with MHI and subcontractors for US-APWR, DCD and COLA.
  • Other activities identified by Lead Engineer/Group Manager
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of dealing with technical aspects of nuclear engineering
  • Demonstrated skills in written and oral communications
  •  Working knowledge of PWR design, mainly plant layout
  • Knowledge/familiarity with NRC regulations, guidance, and Standard Review Plan
  • Working knowledge of CAD design

 

PREFERRED:

  • Master of Science in Engineering or Science
  • Professional Engineer
