 A.L.P. Lighting Components, Inc., is a global leader in the manufacturing of lighting components, offering a diverse line of products for lighting OEMs and the aftermarket.

Our search begins for a Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, New Jersey.  

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to drive our continued efforts to produce at the highest quality level in the most efficient manner by performing preventative and general maintenance on our manufacturing equipment. Candidates will be part of a team that drives constant process improvement in a multi-product & multi-line production environment to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.

Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for the implementation of instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation and inspection work to be performed.

  • Has the ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions with the use of multimeter and amp probe; shorted motor, blown fuses, damaged wires, bad motor starter, etc.

  • Able to diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic malfunctions: bad pump or hose, leak, bad module, etc.

  • Able to recognize potential problems during routine preventative maintenance checks and experience to recognize if immediate repair is needed.

  • Has the ability to fabricate projects from prints or drawings.

  • Performs all maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner observing all safety regulations and procedures.

  • Responsible for following safety procedures, obeying safety rules, and exercising caution in all work activities.

  • Able to operate all equipment and materials related to the maintenance function, such as plumbing tools, power tools, welding, burning equipment and fork truck.

Skills / Education:

  • High School Diploma

  • Technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment a must.

  • Experience in welding and plumbing helpful
