2010 TESTING CYCLE

BURLINGTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Burlington Fire Department is currently accepting applications for Entry Level Firefighter for the 2010 testing cycle.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Must be certified as Vermont Firefighter within the Probationary period.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as set forth in NFPA 1001 for Structural Firefighters.
• Corrected vision of at least 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other.
• Valid Vermont drivers license required by date of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the minimum certification of EMT-Basic with in the Probationary period.
