Description

We serve the full range of healthcare-related markets across the United States: integrated health systems, hospitals, acute care facilities, medical groups, free-standing surgical and diagnostic centers, and other alternate site providers (surgery and emergency care facilities, nursing homes, imaging centers, physician offices, veterinary offices, and multi-disciplinary clinics).
Summary:
A Radiology Technician performs and documents planned maintenance and repair of medical diagnostic imaging equipment and associated systems with minimal supervision from service management to perform the required duties. The RS1 must demonstrate a working knowledge of, and ability to use the required test equipment, and have the electronic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information, required to perform and document planned maintenance and repair of the diagnostic imaging equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established company procedures. The person selected must demonstrate good organizational skills as well as good communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with company personnel and facility staff in accordance with established Masterplan operational and personnel policies and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Independently performs general troubleshooting and repairs to the circuit board level. Also independently perform installations, calibrations and planned maintenance with minimal technical direction.
2. Proper use of all standard test equipment:
a. multimeter e. line resistance meter
b. oscilloscope f. photometer
c. dosemeter g. KV divider
d. AC line analyzer h. service terminal
3. Be able to read, analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
4. Understand and appreciate basic image quality and how it relates to diagnostic exams.
5. Exercise good system troubleshooting skills.
6. Perform and be available for after hours service, also available for emergency calls on weekends.
7. May be required to participate in shift scheduling.
8. Perform manufacturer-mandated equipment modifications and satisfactorily complete the required paperwork.
9. Be able to perform all system service diagnostics on applicable products.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Two-year degree in electronics preferred. HS Diploma and equivalent training/experience accepted.
2. Technical background in Imaging equipment (i.e. Radiography, Digital Radiography, and Mammography).
3. Self starter, capable of working independently or in group setting.
4. Good Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
5. Safety: Understand and follow good safety procedures as it relates to radiation, electrical, mechanical and magnetics.
