The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computerized tomographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury as prescribed by physicians. Essential Duties:
- Performs CT scans of patients.
- Explains examination and procedure to patient and positions the patient for CT scan.
- Prepares, operates and cares for equipment and other technical instruments used for administration of contrast agent.
- Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance.
- Maintains cleanliness of the equipment and scanner room.
- Performs related duties as required to meeting department and hospital needs.
Requirements
Education:
- Graduate of accredited school of radiologic technology required.
Experience:
- 1 year experience preferred.
License/Certification:
- (BLS) Certification required.
- Massachusetts license
