Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform any combination of the following and similar management duties requiring knowledge of Maintenance Repair Operation (MRO) cost and procedures
  • Oversee requisitions, purchase orders, receivers, and all expenses
  • Present written and oral reports for management concerning daily budget and MRO functions and activities
  • Liaison for department with Paint Suppliers and MRO Suppliers
  • Department lead for scheduled inventory activity
  • Work with Purchasing,  MRO and Accounting groups as needed for problem resolution
  • Check and confirm critical items’ delivery timing by contacting Purchasing, MRO, and/or Supplier if needed
  • Monitor and track items within PeopleSoft as needed
  • Monitor department budget accounts and activities and provide routine reporting of information to department Management
  • Perform daily gap analysis and provide options for corrective action countermeasures to department management team

 

Daily Tasks:

  • Routinely work with and communicate with Production areas, MRO, Accounting, and Suppliers
  • Monitor and track department budget account and activities (Plan vs Actual); confirm that department cost down activities are measured to reflect effectiveness of the activity
  • Responsible to work with department Management to develop and implement department budget and coordinate activities as they interact with department Business Plan
  • Responsible to provide all cost information for department score card activity and verify countermeasures of cost over run (Gap analysis)
Requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years of general manufacturing
  • 2+ years of department budgeting, materials ordering / requisition

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong Communication skills (written, oral, listening)
  • Ability to clearly present and communicate department cost and accounting information
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving skills – Use of PDCA (Plan Do, Check, Action), analytical trouble shooting, etc.
  • Strong understanding of and can work within the MRO / Purchasing accounting systems including PeopleSoft, MCMS, etc
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Math skills

 

Degree:

  • Cost and Accounting degree or equivalence mixture of education and experience
